Hello! My name is  Sophie Semanko and I am a fourth-year interior design student with a minor in Hospitality and Tourism Management at North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota.  I am originally from Fargo, North Dakota and transferred to North Dakota State University in the Fall of 2019 to major in interior design after attending two quarters at Milwaukee School of Engineering in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

What I love most about interior design is getting to create a space that is functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing for the users. I am very passionate about the wellbeing of all occupants and am inspired by the WELL Building Standard. I love the vast amount of knowledge that an interior designer gets to utilize from space planning, to picking out finishes, to ensuring a space meets the codes. Showcasing how the interior environment makes an impact on the daily lives of people is truly amazing.
