Micro Apartment Renderings
The Haven is a supportive housing complex for homeless veterans in the Fargo-Moorhead community. The complex includes both a community space as well as both studio and micro apartments for residents to call home for a period of time. The community space provides support that homeless veterans need to improve or maintain their wellbeing. The community space includes large community areas as well as a community kitchen. Along with enhancing the veterans' sense of community, four other support areas were designed based on research to help aid in improving the wellbeing of all veterans. These areas include a pantry, an exercise room, a movie theatre, and two rooms for medical professionals and counselors to come in to meet with individuals.
Studio and micro apartments found in another wing of the space provide residents a place to temporarily call home. The complex is designed to be accessible for all. The community space was designed by myself, Sophie Semanko, and my partner, Taylor Petersen. Taylor Petersen designed the studio apartment and I designed the micro apartment.
This project includes a custom designed logo and transformable furniture piece designed by both Taylor Petersen and Sophie Semanko.
